Unai Emery and His Men! Behind the scenes with Arsenal in Singapore
Unai Emery has been quite busy getting to know his Arsenal Team in Singapore, results are looking huge promising for gunners fans ahead if the new campaign. The Spaniard has been stamping his authority on the squad he took over from Asene Wenger this summer, aftre the french man 22yrs reign in North London came to a close with an emotional goodbye.
Despite not yet being fluent in English the two words that Emery has probably said more than any other during his brief sit downs with the press so far since his arrival is ‘work hard’.
The Spaniard has been very keen to get that point across, that is the very minimum he expects to see from his players - on a daily basis. And from the touchlines here in Singapore watching on, it is clear that the squad will come off the pitch after every single session having given every bit of energy they have.
This is already a very different looking Arsenal squad to the one that we saw last season. There are three new signings currently with the team, but it’s not just about new faces. The whole feel of the place is different.

There is a sense of freshness that is unmistakable. Whenever we were at London Colney last season for open training sessions we saw a group of players that seemed to be going through the motions somewhat.
That certainly doesn’t feel the case any more. Everyone wants to get involved in what is going on, everyone seems determined to impress.
The goalkeepers obviously trained separately from the rest of the squad and it was very interesting to note just how quick Bernd Leno is around the box.
Petr Cech has responded well to training.
Players are all in good spirit
