The olympic athlete Rebecca Cheptegei has died after been doused in petrol and set on fire by her ex boyfriend. The Ugandan athlete was been treated for burnt on 75% of her body after the attack on her home in Trans Nzoia County in western Kenya on Sunday, Sept. 1, . The distance runner Rebecca Cheptegei who is 33, competed in this Paris summer olympics and her attacker was also treated in the same hospital after burning himself in the process. On Thursday, Sept. 5, it was reported Cheptegei had died from her injuries. Dr. Owen Menach, who is the Director of Clinical Services and Surgery at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret, confirmed the sad news, announcing the athlete died at around 5 a.m. local time from "full organ failure. The ex Napoli star Victor Osimhen has completed the loan transfer to Galatasaray and confirmed an option to extend his contract with Napoli until 2027. The Nigerian striker had been frozen out by the Partenopei after failing to complete a move on deadline day to either Al-Ittihad or Chelsea. The striker was not part of Antonio Conte’s plans and the club reiterated the Nigerian was the one who refused to play for them ever again.
