ASTON VILLA SACKED STEVEN GERRARD

                               
 Aston Villa Manager Steven Gerrard has been sacked after 11 months in charge. The former Liverpool midfeelder took charge at Villa Park last November.

Steven Gerrard was sacked following 3-0 defeat to Fulham on Thursday night. 

The former Liverpool player sacking was annouced immediately after his side suffered defeat at Craven Cottage-Villa's sixth defeat in 11 premier League games.

A statment released after the match read: "Aston Villa Football Club can confirm that head coach Steven Gerrard has left the club with immediate effect. We would like to thank Steven Gerrard for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future"

Also has confirmed Gary McAllister, Neil Critchley, Tom Culshaw, Jordan Milsom and Scott Mason have also left the club following the sacking of Gerrard.
