Frank Lampard: Chelsea Sack Manager And Thomas Tuchel Expected To Replace Him

 

Lampard, 42, has been sacked as Chelsea manager, having won once in their past five league matches. It leaves with the club ninth in the Premier League after last week defeat at Leicester City. 
Ex-Chelsea midfielder player was appointed on a three year contract when he replaced Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge in July 2019.

Lampard secured them to fourth place and the FA cup final in  his first season in charge, and a 3-1 win against Leeds in early December put the club top of the premier league.
owner Roman Abramovich who said Lampard's status as an" important icon" of the cub "remains undiminished" despite his dismissal. It was a very difficult decision for the club, not least because I  have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and l  have the utmost respect for him said Chelsea owner Abramovich.

Chelsea are hopefully that new manager Tuchel will be on the bench for Wednesday's Premier League game against Wolves at Stamford bridge.

According to football finance journalist Kieran Maguire, Abramovich had spent £110 on sacking managers before Lampard's dismissal.
